About the Role
The Intake Correspondence Associate is responsible for making outbound verbal notifications of clinical decisions, reviewing all letters for accuracy, ensuring they are HCA and CMS compliant and they adhere to compliance deadlines and for the preparation and mailing of high-volume health plan correspondence to members. To do this, you will navigate our software system to identify, print, and mail batches of member letters.
To be successful in this role, you:
- Have an associate degree, or an equivalent combination of education and highly relevant experience.
- Have at least one (1) year of customer service experience, preferred.
- Have working experience in a Healthcare setting, preferred.
- Are knowledgeable of medical terminology and healthcare processes, preferred.
- Are knowledgeable of Washington Apple Health and Medicare Advantage Plans, preferred.
Essential functions and Roles and Responsibilities:
- Notify providers of denial notifications prior to written notification processing.
- Review and ensure accuracy of all approval, denial and medical determination notifications and letters, ensuring regulatory compliance. Generate notifications and letters for mail room processing within required deadlines.
- Prints member correspondence, stuffs in envelopes, and places in the mail to fulfill regulatory correspondence requirements.
- Input incoming facility face sheets for new admissions.
- Reporting to work on time and for all scheduled shifts is essential to this position.

Compensation and Benefits:
The position is FLSA Non-Exempt and is eligible for overtime. Based on market data, this position grade is 37 (see full range below) and has a 5% annual incentive target based on company, department, and individual performance goals.
