We are seeking experienced Multi-craft Maintenance Technicians to join our Team in Orangeburg, South Carolina. We foster a TEAM culture where everyone has input, and everyone contributes to the overall success of the company no matter their position.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing all aspects of maintenance activities and upkeep of the plant in a safe and efficient manner, that meets or exceeds the customer’s expectations.
- Work, act, think and converse in terms of improving quality and eliminating waste in his/her process.
- Stop any operation that is not producing product to customer expectations or is in violation of approved quality and safety standards.
- Troubleshoots machine when it is down or not performing to standard via electronic testing, etc.
- Perform maintenance machine repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day operation of the machine is consistent with the policies and procedures which make up the Quality System.
- Continuously improve the process as an individual and as a team member
- Ensures all environmental standards and requirements are met.
- Responsible for creating an environment of Teamwork focused on producing quality products.
- Ensures machine Preventive Maintenance (PM) is performed according to the schedule.
- Completes all required tracking forms (Hot Work, Work Orders, etc.)
- Sets the example of safe operation by following established safety guidelines; Follows established safety guidelines; holds self and others accountable.
- Use shop tools, hand tools, equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics for troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment failures.
- Initiates and supports improvement initiatives.
- Chair Safety Board
- Complete all purchase orders for approval.
- Other duties as instructed by Maintenance Lead and/or Plant Manager.
- Makes "run / don't run" call with input from plant manager and team leader.
- Ensures everyone has the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Meets preventative maintenance schedule (% performance to schedule plan)
- Meets safety targets and audit timelines.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Previous experience in industrial maintenance required.
- Graduate of either a standard high school or vocational school.
- Completion of either a two-year electrician training program, electrical technology, manufacturing technology, engineering technology or related program, or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Have thorough knowledge of the standard practices, tools and equipment used in the general industrial maintenance trade.
- Good knowledge of the principles of operation of all types of AC, DC, and SERVO controls and operation of electric motors and controllers, and of mechanical and electrical repair of machinery.
- PLC and electronic experience beneficial.
- Experience and/or solid understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems preferred, but not required.
- Good knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Have the ability to adapt available tools and repair parts to specific problems.
- Skill in the use and care of hand, power, and basic machine tools.
