Chris Gasbarro's Fine Wine & Spirits is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily operations. This role reports directly to the Store Owner and plays a vital role in ensuring smooth store management, customer satisfaction, and sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Store Owner in the day-to-day operations and overall management of the store.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, concerns, and special requests.
- Drive sales and profitability by effectively promoting products and services.
- Train, mentor, and develop store staff to ensure they provide top-tier customer service.
- Monitor inventory levels, organize merchandise, and report shortages to the store buyer.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, cash handling procedures, pricing, and POS operations.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage coverage for absences or call-outs.
- Step in to cover shifts as needed to maintain smooth operations.
- Perform other assigned duties as directed by the Store Owner.
Qualifications & Skills:
✔ Retail or store management experience (preferred).
✔ Previous experience in alcohol sales (required).
✔ ETIPS certification (required).
✔ Bilingual proficiency (highly desirable).
✔ Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
✔ Knowledge of inventory control principles and best practices.
✔ Familiarity with sales management techniques to maximize revenue.
✔ Proficiency with POS systems for transactions and inventory management.
