What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Chris' Martini & Cafe?
Responsibilities:
Must have minimum 5 to 10 year's experience in a premier bar/restaurant
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer concerns or complaints
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operation of the bar
Experience:
- Previous experience as a bartender in a restaurant or bar setting preferred
- Knowledge of brewing techniques and different types of alcoholic beverages
- Familiarity with Aloha POS system or similar point-of-sale software
- Strong math skills for accurately calculating bills and making change
- Understanding of food handling and safety procedures in the food industry
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to provide efficient and friendly service in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with catering events is a plus
