Wine Coordinator

Job Summary
This role shares knowledge and expertise to guide and educate customers with their purchases. They drive sales by building relationships and creating interest and enthusiasm with customers and team members. If you have a passion for wine, spirits, food, and educating others, this could be the role for you!

Duties

• Proactively approach and engage customers, build relationships by providing suggestions for meal pairings, and helping them find the perfect selection for their tastes
• Ensure a wide variety of products are readily available for customers by ordering and replenishing product, and setting up eye catching displays and merchandising techniques
• Coordinate the daily activities of team members in the department, influencing and rewarding positive results in wine sales and customer interactions
• Partner with Management and Corporate Merchandising groups to coordinate events and featured product displays to peak customer interest and grow sales in the department

Qualifications

• Customer Service experience preferably in a food service, restaurant, grocery or retail setting
• Enthusiasm for and knowledge of Wine and Spirits industry, regions, production and tasting
• Must be available to work year-round

Preferred Qualifications:

• Sommelier Certifications/Education
• Wine Certifications

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
