Description
Role’s Mission:
To minister to staff and our congregation through the maintenance, detailed clean-up and setup of classrooms, bathrooms, and other areas on the Christ Chapel campus in such a way that others can shepherd the flock and worship God within our facilities without distraction. This work will be done as directed by the Facilities Director. This role works days and weekends.
Role’s Reporting Relationship:
This role reports to the Facilities Director.
Christ Chapel’s Mission:

Qualifications
Role’s Requirements:
- Must be a Christian
- Must be living an “above reproach” lifestyle as outlined in the Christ Chapel Employee Handbook
- Must be committed to and supportive of the authority of the Elders, the pastoral staff and the philosophy and direction of the church both in public and in private
- Must be available for full-time flexible hours averaging 40 hours per week.
- Must have some experience with the care and cleaning of facilities.
- Be able to lift, pull, push, and carry up to 60 pounds
- Be able to stand for an extended period without taking a break to sit down
- Be a self-starter
- Able to read and use a calendar of events
- Under the direction of the Facilities Director or Associate Director
- Learn to solve complex mechanical problems
- Gain an understanding of building plumbing repair and maintenance
- Learn the basics of painting, spraying and drywall repair
- Learn about electrical appliances and repair
- Become knowledgeable about the HVAC systems
- Participate in walk throughs and become responsible for various aspects of building repair and routine maintenance
- Must be able to pull “on call” duty when needed.
- Must be able to set tables and chairs in a neat appearance
- Must be dependable and reliable
- Must be able to work Fridays and Saturdays
