Role’s Mission:
HSM is committed to helping students take their next steps in maturity with Jesus. The West Campus Guys Director will enhance our ministry by connecting students to HSM, shepherding leaders and students, and facilitating our ministry model.
- As a connector of students, the West Campus HSM Guys Director will be a primary connection figure for high school students to HSM. He will intentionally build relationships with male students, help connect new and existing students to a small group and its leaders, disciple students to become fully developed followers of Christ, and be a face of HSM to the community.
- As a shepherd of leaders and students, the West Campus HSM Guys Director will work alongside the HSM team to recruit, train, and care for male small group leaders to help bolster our ministry model for High School students.
- As a facilitator of our ministry model, the West Campus HSM Guys Director will help inspect small groups to determine how to best care for our leaders and groups, understand what training / resources are needed to build successful groups, and help provide a compelling environment for students to belong at HSM programming.
Christ Chapel’s Mission:
“To stretch every involved person from the threshold of their spiritual pilgrimage toward becoming a fully developing follower of Christ” (Col 1:28-29).
Role’s Reporting Relationship:
This position reports directly to the West Campus HSM Pastor.
Qualifications
Role’s Requirements:
1. Must be a Christian with an Elder-qualified character (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9)
2. Must be a maturing believer who is obviously, consistently, and increasingly manifesting the fruit of the Spirit in their daily walk with Christ (Galatians 5:22-23)
3. Must embrace our church’s doctrinal position and constitution without reservation and be an advocate of our philosophy of ministry both in public and in private
4. PREFERED – a bachelor’s degree or seminary degree and a minimum of 2 years church or parachurch experience in a similar field.
Character:
- Must be a maturing believer who is obviously, consistently, and increasingly manifesting the fruit of the Spirit in his/her daily walk with Christ (Galatians 5:22- 23) as well as among others.
- Must be a lover of the souls of men/women with a heart that longs to see them become more like Jesus.
- Must be a man/woman of prayer.
- Must be a joy to supervise (Hebrews 13:17)
Calling:
- Must embrace Christ Chapel's doctrinal position and constitution without reservation and be an advocate of our doctrine and philosophy of ministry both in public and in private.
- Must embrace a work philosophy of planning and delivering biblically appropriate, God-honoring, grace-based results/outcomes.
- Must be able to articulate a clear sense of calling to the Gospel ministry.
- As our candidate process moves forward, we must jointly sense God’s calling to Christ Chapel, both sides having a sense of His intertwining our hearts and lives together (Acts 20:28).
Competency:
- Mental Ability
- Must be able to manage time wisely and efficiently.
- Must be able to problem solve, think on their feet, and make discerning decisions.
- Spiritual Gift
- If a believer receives only one gift (1Pet4:10), then the ideal candidate would have the spiritual gift of administration (Rom 12; 1 Cor 12; Eph 4; 1 Pet 4).
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience
- Love the church and long to see Her thrive.
- At least two years of previous full-time ministry work.

Role’s Additional information:
- This role is required to work trips that involve overnight stays of multiple days.
