Christ Chapel’s Mission:
“To stretch every involved person from the threshold of their spiritual pilgrimage toward becoming a fully-developing follower of Christ” (Col 1:28-29).
Role’s Mission:
The West Campus Volunteer Director will be the Host, Coordinator, and Shepherd for our programs and volunteers designed to help welcome guests into the West Campus family and mobilize regular attenders to serve.
- As a Host the Volunteer Director will ensure that all guests of the West Campus feel welcome and receive hospitality during Sunday services. To accomplish this goal, the Director will recruit, train, and deploy volunteer teams that will provide hospitality ‘from the parking lot to the pew’ for both worship venues at the West Campus.
- As a Connector the Volunteer Director will be the leader of our assimilation programs that help guests connect to our church family. The Volunteer Director will oversee our Embark class, help graduates find a place to serve, and lead the charge of following up with guests who fill out a Connect Card.
- As a Shepherd, the Volunteer Director will encourage and mobilize our West Campus family to serve throughout the church by connecting them with ministries who are looking for volunteers. The Director will also provide shepherding to volunteers that serve within the hospitality ministry.
Role’s Reporting Relationship:
This role reports to the West Campus Associate Pastor.
Qualifications
Role’s Requirements:
- Must be a Christian with an Elder-qualified character (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9) (a candidate who is married is preferred).
- Must be a maturing believer who is obviously, consistently and increasingly manifesting the fruit of the Spirit in a daily walk with Christ (Galatians 5:22-23) as well as among others.
- Must embrace Christ Chapel's doctrinal position and constitution without reservation and be an advocate of our doctrine and philosophy of ministry both in public and in private.
- Must have a proven track record of being able to recruit, develop and train large numbers of people to complete a task.
- If a believer only receives one gift (1 Pet 4:10), then the ideal candidate has the spiritual gift of administration.
