Lead Pastor

Job Summary

Christ Chapel Church of McMinnville, Tennessee is currently in search of a full time pastor. We are a non-denominational church of 50-100 in a congregation located in Warren County (Middle-Tennessee). We are a well-established church that was formed in the 1960's. We prefer a Wesleyan background pastor with a degree. A seminary degree is preferred, but is not mandatory. We prefer a full time, hands on, on-site pastor with 5-10 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Preach from the Word of God. Teach from the scriptures and engage the congregation in study and witness.
• Lead the church in evangelistic outreach that other may know Christ and grow our congregation
• Counsel those with personal or spiritual struggles
• Plan and organize church events, ensuring they align with the mission of the church.
• Lead Bible studies and educational programs to foster spiritual growth among members.
• Present at community events to promote church involvement and outreach initiatives.
• Collaborate with church leadership to develop strategies for community engagement and growth.
• Maintain an open line of communication with congregants, providing support and guidance as needed.
• Perform marriage ceremonies.
• Conduct funeral services and provide grief counseling.
• Visit the sick and shut-ins and those in the hospital.
• Deliver sermons for services unless on approved time off or vacations.
• Assist in programs and events of the Church.
• Perform baptisms such as infant dedications and professions of faith. Deliver instruction so that they might become professing members.
• Administer the sacraments of the Lord's Supper.
• Participate in all church activities.
• Maintain regular office hours agreed upon by the Staff Relations Committee.
• Demonstrate written, verbal and electronic communication skills.
• Pay competetive salary based on experience.
• The church does have a parsonage if pastor elects. A parsonage package is available.
• The church currently has a part time secretary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year

• 8 hour shift
