Job Summary
The Director of Special Gifts provides administrative oversight to financial stewardship in the life of Christ Church. This role will plan, organize, initiate, and maintain oversight of Development Programs, Planned Giving Incubator Program, Financial Empowerment Ministry, and other financial-related programs.

The Director of Special Gifts provides administrative oversight to financial stewardship in the life of Christ Church. This role will plan, organize, initiate, and maintain oversight of Development Programs, Planned Giving Incubator Program, Financial Empowerment Ministry, and other financial-related programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create strategies for donor development and cultivation of generous giving.
- Broaden fundraising practices by developing approaches such as planned giving, solicitation of bequests, and endowment programs.
- Develop a comprehensive curriculum in stewardship for use with all age groups in the congregation.
- Provide leadership in developing and promoting educational programs for congregation and other church bodies.
- Maintain liaison with Finance Dept. to ensure appropriate correspondence goes out to reflect first-time givers, significant gifts, etc.
- Develop a plan for regular touch-points for all donor levels.
Requirements:
- Ability to spearhead major initiatives and projects from conception to execution.
- Leadership and administrative skills with special ability to lead volunteer teams.
- 1-2 years experience in project development, leadership, recruiting, training, and public speaking.
- Excellent interpersonal, writing, and proofreading skills.
- Excellent time management skills with ability to take initiative and work in fast-paced environment.
