ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee Children’s Ministry midweek programming at the Oak Brook Campus
- Partner with the Children’s ministry team to support the execution of programming, providing oversight and support for weekly ministry focused on helping children and their families learn about God and biblical truths.
- Prepare and teach weekly lessons in children’s ministry programming (as needed), support and lead a team of children’s volunteers and staff who serve and teach alongside you.
- Partner with CC Kids staff to help lead summer children’s ministry programming
Ministry Overview
- Provide oversight to Children’s Ministry Midweek programming at the Oak Brook campus, in partnership with Children’s Ministry Directors
- Help to recruit, equip, and oversee teams of volunteers as they use their gifts in specific areas of the ministry to include teachers, class helpers and tech.
- Partner with the Children’s Ministry Directors and Pastor of Family Ministry to create a Children’s Ministry team focused on loving children and families on every step of their faith journey
- Help our children’s ministry team to train and equip volunteer coaches and lead teachers to lead with excellence in the spaces where they serve.
- Help oversee execution of weekend Children’s Ministry programming that includes engaging large group environment plus relational small group experiences for every child birth – 5th grade.
- Help the central campus children’s ministry team collaborate well with ministry teams from other campuses, including the preparation of supplies and distribution of curriculum.
- Partner with the broader family ministry team to equip parents to engage in meaningful faith development in the home
- Participate in and assist with executing all Children’s Ministry and Family Ministry events.
- Partner with the Christ Church Kids team create to oversee and execute Children’s summer camps and family events
- Attend all weekly, monthly, and event planning team meetings.
- Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
- Support and model individual spiritual formation i.e. Worship, Grow and Serve. (Weekly worship, prayer, scripture reading, small group, volunteering/service, etc.).
