About the Role
The Director of Worship Arts will lead and develop CCC’s worship ministry, curating meaningful worship experiences and equipping volunteer musicians and leaders. This role is not just about leading songs but about cultivating a culture of worship that is spiritually formative, artistically vibrant, and deeply formative.
This is a part-time, salaried position (10-15 hours per week) with flexibility for some remote work during the week.
Key Responsibilities
1. Worship Leadership & Team Development (6-8 hours/week)
- Lead or co-lead worship at least twice a month for Sunday gatherings and special services.
- Recruit, develop, and train volunteer worship leaders and musicians.
- Foster a collaborative and prayerful worship culture that integrates a variety of musical styles and traditions.
- Work closely with the Production Team Leads to ensure a technically seamless and spiritually engaging worship experience.
2. Creative Worship & Artistic Expression (2-4 hours/week)
- Collaborate with CCC staff and creatives to incorporate visual, spoken, and liturgical elements into worship.
- Explore and integrate new expressions of worship that reflect CCC’s identity.
3. Administration & Leadership (2-3 hours/week)
- Oversee volunteer scheduling, music planning, and team communication.
- Manage the worship arts budget, prioritizing sustainability and accessibility.
- Participate in staff meetings and collaborative ministry planning (with flexibility for part-time schedule).
Who You Are
We are looking for a musically gifted, theologically grounded, and spiritually mature leader who is passionate about developing others and shaping a dynamic worship culture.
Required Qualifications
- A deep love for Jesus and commitment to CCC’s mission, vision, and values.
- Experience leading worship in a church setting, particularly with volunteer musicians.
- Strong vocal leadership and ability to lead from guitar, keyboard, or another instrument.
- Familiarity with diverse worship traditions and musical genres, from contemporary worship to gospel, hymns, and global expressions.
- Ability to train and disciple worship team members, fostering both spiritual and musical growth.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, with experience in volunteer development.
Preferred Qualifications
⭐ Theological training or coursework in worship studies, ministry, or theology.
⭐ Experience in music arrangement, composition, or choral direction.
⭐ Familiarity with worship tech tools like Planning Center and ProPresenter.
