Front Office Staff
Major Duties & Responsibilities: Job Skills
- Directs and supervises all Front Office administrative activities including checking patients in and out, obtaining appropriate documentation, verifying insurance, etc.
- Ensures all procedures are closely followed so that the medical team can focus on the clinical well-being of patients
- Assists in development of processes to ensure efficiency in patient care and communication
- Supervises and schedules all front office staff
- Interacts in a professional manner with back-office personnel to maximize reimbursement
- Assists patients with enrolling in various insurance plans
Qualification, Education, Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in health-related field preferred; Associates Degree plus business experience may be substituted for Bachelors Degree
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a physician practice with at least 1 year in office supervisory position
- Extensive insurance and reimbursement knowledge required, including Medicare and Medicaid.
- Experience with electronic medical records and practice management software.
- Requires the ability to organize and set priorities to accomplish goals in a timely manner.
- Requires the ability to work in a multi-cultural setting.

- Requires computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel programs.

- Must be a United States (U.S.) citizen or legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Environmental/Working Conditions
Normal office environment. Full-time position. Position requires some local travel and occasional out of town travel through the year to attend various regional and national conferences and trainings.
