Job Summary: The Administrative Assistant serves the congregation in fulfilling God’s mission by providing timely and effective clerical and administrative support to its pastor, church council, and ministry teams.
Status: Part-time (24hrs / week), Tuesday-Friday. Hours may be flexible but should generally be consistent week to week.
Reports to: The Administrative Assistant is supervised by, and works in conjunction with, the Senior Pastor, and reports to the Executive Committee of the Church Council.

Essential Functions
- Produce digital and printed materials required for worship services.
- Assist pastor in obtaining and maintaining accurate data on current and prospective congregation members.
- Aid in the production of digital and printed communications that enable the faith community to be well-informed of church activities, opportunities, and needs.
- Receive and direct members, visitors, vendors, and any others who contact the church by phone, email, or postage mail.
- Manage the church office supplies and equipment, and aid in providing oversight of data storage and record keeping.
- Collaboratively work with the pastor and congregational leaders in efficiently and effectively directing the administrative operations of the congregation.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in Microsoft software programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Ability to learn and/or utilize other applications, including social media and data management software.
Physical Requirements
- The position requires the ability to perform manual work that may include lifting 20-50 pounds, standing, sitting, walking, and bending.
- Employee sits 5 hours or more at desk and stands and walks intermittently.

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $15-17 per hour.
- Pay schedule is bi-monthly (15th and last day of the month).
- Paid holidays (if holidays occur on a regular workday) include New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
