Part-time Counselor, 2025-26
Christ School seeks an enthusiastic, committed part-time counselor to join its faculty starting in August 2025. Candidates must be passionate about working with teenage boys and have experience working with teens in a counseling and/or school setting. Candidates with substance use/addiction training and counseling experience in this area are preferred.
The Part-time Counselor will:
- Foster a positive counseling environment for all students that includes development of tailored treatment plans for referred students
- Provide individual and/or group counseling as indicated; monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to necessary parties
- Design education materials in the areas of substance use prevention, responsible decision making, and healthy coping skills
- Collaborate with the student life team as needed to support students
- Additional Athletic/Afternoon and Residential Life responsibilities may be possible based on the candidate’s experience and interests, as well as the school’s needs
Qualification Requirements:
- Sincere interest and experience in counseling, encouraging, and inspiring boys, Grades 8 through 12
- A master’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field; licensure as a clinical/counseling professional; CADC or LCAS is strongly preferred
- The ability to communicate clearly and proactively with students, parents, and colleagues
- A commitment to Christ School’s Four Pillars: Academic Rigor, Leadership, Spirituality, and the Dignity of Manual Labor
- Energy, flexibility, and a robust sense of humor
