Church Childcare Provider

Position Description

Christ the King, an evangelical church in the Anglican tradition, is seeking a dedicated Children’s Ministry Staff Member to provide quality care for infants and young children during Sunday morning services and church-related events. This role ensures children are in a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment, allowing parents to participate in worship and church activities with peace of mind.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Childcare & Safety: Provide attentive, compassionate care for infants and young children, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout church services and events.
• Engagement & Enrichment: Lead age-appropriate activities, such as playtime, singing, reading, and interactive games that promote spiritual growth.
• Basic Childcare Needs: Attend to the daily needs of children, including diaper changes, comforting, and ensuring each child feels safe and cared for.
• Classroom Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Parent Communication: Communicate with parents regarding child’s time in class.
• Event Support: Requested but not mandatory: Assist in providing childcare for other church-related events, including Small Groups, Mom Groups, and special gatherings.

Requirements Prior to Start Date:

• Background Check
• Completion of Anglican Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic Protecting God’s Children Training Course.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 5 per week

Schedule:

• Morning shift
• Weekends only
