Description
Christ the King Manor is seeking a Full-Time Billing Specialist t to join our team! Join a devoted group of individuals whom are the warm and greeting face of our organization, assisting residents and families with Billing needs and questions. This position will be full-time 8am-430pm Monday - Friday
FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs duties relating to accounts receivable as follows:

- Processes ancillary service charges to resident accounts on a monthly basis.
- Calculates and posts monthly charges to all pay sources including but not limited to Medicare A, Medicare B, Medicaid, self pay, Options, Waiver, managed care, hospice and various other pay sources.
- Prints and mails all self pay, managed care and other bills that require mailing for payment monthly and as needed.
- Oversees the month end procedures for home support which includes reviews and correction of billing through submission to Jefferson and Clearfield county Options payment departments.
- Checks inaccuracies in claim submissions and payments received and makes necessary corrections.
- Generates electronic files for submission to Medicaid, Medicare A and Medicare B for consideration for payment.
- Attends meetings to track progress of therapy and nursing billing requirements related to RUGS.
- Performs duties related to the overall accounting as follows:
- Balances the Payroll checking account and adheres to the Outstanding Check policy.
- Tracks, submits and compiles Medicare Bad Debs for year end cost report filing.
- Balances and submit census information to the Pennsylvania Bed Tax Assessment division.
- Assists Chief Financial Officer with monthly financial reporting.
- Performs payroll responsibilities in the absence of the payroll clerk.
15. Answers inquiries regarding resident accounts.
16. Completes assignments as requested.
17. Adheres to all Christ the King Manor regulations, policies and procedures particularly those regarding safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications
Proficiency in mathematical skills, skills normally acquired through the completion of high school or its equivalent; Proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills; knowledge of accounting procedures, moderate typing skills, computer and data entry skills with a working knowledge of Excel and Quickbooks; knowledge and utilization of CPT codes and coding resources; knowledge of skilled nursing facility billing, including Medicare parts A & B, Medical Assistance, and insurance company billing; minimum of two (2) years experience in related position.
