Early Childhood - Teacher

Our center is looking to hire a full-time teacher/caregiver for our Infant Room. The candidate must bring warmth and friendliness to the environment and must work as a team member alongside their co-teachers. After extensive training, the candidate will take on the position as Lead Teacher for the Infant Room. The candidate must be reliable and energetic, empathetic, knowledgeable and have a passion for helping young children learn and grow! The person holding this position is expected to communicate well with their team, children, parents and families, teachers and staff.

The caregiver shall assist infant-age children through daily routines and experiences, assist with implementing activities, maintain a safe and healthy learning environment, document children's development. The caregiver should strive to provide quality care and comfort for our infant-aged children.

The caregiver should strive to provide quality care and comfort for our infant-aged children. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Bottle feeding and assisting with meals,
• Diaper changes,
• Completing Daily Report sheets,
• Providing comfort for nap times,
• Documenting observations through note-taking,
• Lesson planning,
• Keeping up with proper training and workshop hours required by the State of Ohio and Step Up to Quality.

• Minimum of CDA Certification OR Associate Degree in Early Childhood (or related field) OR Minimum of HS Diploma AND MUST be willing to sign up for CDA Certification program (tuition-free assistance)
• Minimum of 2 years professional experience in childcare
• Must pass FBI/BCI background check
• Must pass work physical and able to lift up to 50lbs.; must be physically fit to perform duties and responsibilities
• Must be able to properly wear face mask throughout shift
• Must have reliable transportation to/from job site

Preferences

• CDA OR Associate Degree in ECE or related field
• Knowledgeable of Step Up to Quality
• Experience working with infant-age children in childcare setting
• Experience with The Creative Curriculum
