Christ United Methodist Church is seeking a passionate and organized After School Program Director to lead our Christ UMC After School Program - a ministry that provides a safe, nurturing, and faith-filled environment for children (K-5) from Mary Scroggs Elementary School.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee a structured, engaging after-school program incorporating play, homework support, music, chapel, crafts, and more.
- Recruit, train, and manage staff and volunteers.
- Maintain strong communication with parents, church leadership, and the community.
- Oversee program logistics, including scheduling, supplies, and safety protocols.
- Model Christian values and foster a welcoming, inclusive space for all children.
Who We’re Looking For:
- A Christian leader aligned with United Methodist teachings.
- A compassionate, energetic individual with strong communication and leadership skills.
- A professional with a Bachelor’s Degree (preferred in education or child development).
- Experience in program planning, budgeting, and staff management.
- CPR, First Aid, and Safe Sanctuary certification (or willingness to obtain).
