Description
This position is responsible for the implementation and ongoing service of specialty group clients, with a focus on ICHRA and PEO programs. Ancillary servicing is also needed. The Account Manager will support clients directly, often without a consulting partner, and will work closely with internal producer partners and vendor representatives. This is a service-focused, client-facing role that offers room for shaping and growth. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, independent, and adaptable, with a strong initiative and positive mindset.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Implement ICHRA, PEO and ancillary plans for specialty groups, including working with HR teams and vendor partners
· Administer ongoing service functions throughout the plan year
· Coordinate with vendor partners and clients to implement and support plans
· Answer client questions and provide proactive service support
· Manage communications and deliverables in partnership with producers
· Market to carriers when needed
· Create benefit guides and support open enrollment presentations as needed
· Assist with implementation for clients using PEOs or outside HR vendors
· Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, billing coordination, and eligibility updates
· Coordinate and oversee onboarding of new clients and benefit renewals
· Understand and assist with low enrollment, fully insured large group and ancillary-only client structures
· Handle claim and carrier issues, eligibility discrepancies, and plan changes
New/Renewal/Marketing
· Support implementation and renewal processes specific to ICHRA, PEO and ancillary products
· Conduct or assist with renewal and open enrollment meetings
· Coordinate with vendors to market and confirm benefit plan details
· Prepare enrollment and new hire materials
· Provide benefit communication tools to clients
· Assist in coordination with COBRA, if applicable
Revenue Growth
· Contribute to agency revenue goals by supporting effective service retention
· Identify opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and drive engagement
Other Duties and Responsibilities
· Demonstrate professionalism and commitment to service excellence
· Stay informed of industry changes and evolving client needs
· Maintain strong carrier and vendor relationships
· Attend team meetings and support agency-wide initiatives
Requirements
· 2 years’ experience in group plans, ancillary benefits, or ICHRA
· Current Minnesota Life and Health License (required)
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong Excel and data entry skills
· Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage administrative-heavy workloads
· Strong initiative, independence, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
· Patience and professionalism when interacting with clients and vendors
· Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
· Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities
· Comfortable being client-facing
Salary : $72,000 - $115,000
