Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

New / Renewal Marketing

Manage the New / Renewal Process through collaboration with Producer / Account Executive / Client Manager as well as carrier representatives / underwritersResponsible for marketing submissions to carriers, including application preparation, loss analysis, and other pertinent information for submissionsSubmit to carriers and follow-up to ensure timely receipt of quotes and policiesAnalyze and compare carrier quotes for proper coverages, terms, pricing, and conditions, which includes making insurance program recommendationsPrepare proposals and summaries of insuranceHelp identify the need for new products and develop innovative solutions for clientsConfidently assessing the needs of clients, uncovering coverage gaps, and develop solutions to risk situationsBind coverage for policies as directed by the Producer / Account Executive / Client ManagerCoordinate and finalize subjectivitiesBuild and maintain relationships with underwriters and our carrier partnersOther Duties and Responsibilities :

Maintain culture of employee ownership - contribute time and support to agency / carrier events or activities that strengthen our cultureAccept special assignments as directed by Department ManagersWork openly and constructively with team membersRepresent Christensen Group in the greatest professional and ethical manner possible.Support agency in effectively managing agency / carrier relationshipsKeep management informed of known actions, written or verbal that may affect the ability to successfully perform assignments or adversely affect the Company operationsFollow agency procedures for agency management systemsTraining

An ESOP is a retirement asset, similar to a 401(k) Plan but the difference is a 401k grows based on the stock market and our ESOP grows based on the work we contribute as a team.

All ESOP eligible employees participate in an allocation of ESOP shares that are targeted at 15% of W-2 pay. In simple terms, Christensen Group adds shares equal to a dollar value into your ESOP retirement account every year. What we contribute is 5x more than the typical 3% employer 401(k) match.

Requirements

5 years of experience in business insurance, preferably within the insurance marketing / underwriting capacity (or equivalent), requiredDeep understanding of business insurance market / carrier knowledge in Texas, requiredPossess strong knowledge of insurance, coverage forms, carrier appetites / programs, and the market including financial strength and risk appetiteSelf-motivated be mindful of insurance changes and market conditionsStrong ability to influence, coordinate, manage, and negotiate several market strategies simultaneouslyTechnical Expertise; Ability to review contracts and understand exposures and coverages neededCIC / CPCU designation, preferredMicrosoft Office experience (strong math and Excel background)Ability to navigate carrier websites, including online ratingAbility to multitaskDetail-orientatedAbility to organize and prioritize work responsibilitiesExcellent communication skills - verbal and writtenSelf-starter and problem solverTexas Property and Casualty insurance license required
