Job Summary
The Driver Recruiting Manager at Christenson Transportation is responsible for leading and managing the recruitment team, developing strategies to attract qualified drivers, and ensuring the company meets its driver staffing needs. Responsibilities
- Recruitment Strategy: Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract and retain professional drivers in line with company goals.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the driver recruiting team, ensuring all team members perform efficiently and meet recruitment targets.
- Sourcing & Outreach: Utilize various channels (job boards, social media, events) to actively source potential candidates. Establish partnerships with driving schools and other recruitment sources.
- Candidate Evaluation: Oversee the screening and interviewing process for all driver candidates, ensuring they meet Christenson Transportation’s safety and qualification standards.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain a pipeline of qualified driver candidates for current and future openings.
- Compliance: Ensure all recruiting activities comply with federal, state, and company-specific regulations, including DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with drivers, driver candidates, and industry partners. Promote a positive company image to attract top talent.
- Data & Reporting: Monitor recruitment metrics and performance data, providing regular reports to senior management on the status of recruitment efforts.
- Onboarding Support: Collaborate with HR and Operations teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for newly hired drivers.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve recruitment processes, staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
Experience
- 3 years of experience in driver recruitment, talent acquisition, or transportation industry.
- Proven experience leading a recruitment team is preferred.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with DOT regulations, FMCSA guidelines, and transportation industry recruitment practices.
Skills
