PAY RATE: $60,174.40 Annually (Pay is negotiable based on experience)

Major Gift Officer (MGO) is responsible for building relationships with existing donors who have the
capacity and affinity to make a gift of $5000 or greater to CAP.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manages a tiered portfolio of 125-150 donors and prospects from an assigned territory with an emphasis on
increasing the giving value of the total file through individual relationship cultivation and stewardship. The
MGO is expected to develop and execute the fundamental skills of discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and
stewardship, essential for moving donors forward in the relationship cycle. In addition, the MGO is
responsible for all annual activity outcomes, basic CRM navigation, database upkeep, reporting and follow
through of assigned tasks. - Per Directors discretion, engages in professional development exercises including assigned seminars, in
house trainings, educational program activities, Human Service opportunities, shadowing of senior MGO's,
and cross departmental learning experiences. - Takes part and engages in CAP activities and Major Donor events. Demonstrates an "All in" attitude and
fosters constructive collaboration within the CAP workspace and culture.

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors degree in related field Required
Years of Experience:
4 or more years of successful experience in related field or combination of education and experience
Certifications and Licensure:
Possess a Valid Kentucky Driver's License and Maintain a Safe Driving Record Required
CAP Driving Certification* (or ability to obtain within first 90 days) Required
*In order to drive personal vehicle on CAP business, must obtain and maintain a policy of motor vehicle insurance
coverage on privately-owned vehicle with insurance coverage amounts of $50,000 bodily injury per person per accident;
$100,000 bodily injury for all bodily injuries per accident; and $50,000 property damage per accident.
CFRE - Certified Fund-Raising Executive or
CFRM - Certified Fund-Raising Management Preferred

Ability to reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, stand, walk
Lift 45 lbs
Lifts/moves items with unknown weight or that are awkward shapes and sizes with assistance
Sit for extended periods of time
Have good visual acuity with corrective lenses
Have good hearing capabilities
