Job Description
We are seeking automotive technicians/mechanics who are energetic, upbeat, and have a positive attitude. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicles using their knowledge and skills
- Building experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles
- Completing full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections
- Working collaboratively with the service department to troubleshoot customer concerns quickly and effectively
- Following and promoting our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Using technical knowledge and skills to diagnose and fix vehicles for customers
- Continuously building experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles
- Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections
- Work as part of a team to troubleshoot customer concerns quickly and effectively
- Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization
- Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate customer concerns
- Work together with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A positive attitude and a desire to serve customers
- Over 3 years of experience as an automotive technician/machanic
- ASE certifications preferred or a plan to achieve them
- The ability to diagnose and repair all makes/models of vehicles
- Meet or exceed hourly goals
- An aptitude for learning additional skills and processes
- Professional appearance and strong communication
- A desire for long-term career development
Physical Requirements
The ideal candidate must also meet the following physical requirements:
- Ocasionally lifting and/or moving over 100 pounds
- Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
- Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair
- Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools
- Walk/stand for the majority of their workday
- Drive manual transmission vehicles
- Easily navigate a computer
