Job Description:
The Automotive Technician/Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles, ensuring high standards of safety and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing and repairing domestic and foreign vehicles
- Conducting full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections
- Working with the service department to troubleshoot customer concerns quickly and effectively
- FOLLOWING AND PROMOTING HIGH STANDARDS OF SAFETY, CLEANLINESS, AND ORGANIZATION
- Communicating effectively with customers and colleagues
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A positive attitude and a desire to serve customers
- At least 3 years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic
- ASE Certifications preferred or a plan to achieve
- The ability to diagnose and repair all makes/models of vehicles
- The ability to meet or exceed hourly goals
- Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes
- Professional appearance and strong communication skills
- A desire for long-term career development
Physical Requirements:
You will need to be able to:
- Lift and/or move over 100 pounds occasionally
- Work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
- Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair
- Have the necessary dexterity to efficiently use hand tools
- Walk/stand for the majority of their workday
- Drive manual transmissions vehicles
- Navigate a computer efficiently
