Our Health Solutions Division is seeking an energetic and dedicated professional to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. This position serves as a resource to the members of the various health trusts that Health Benefit Services administers. The role of HBS Customer Service Representative is to provide outstanding customer care to members and their providers by responding to benefit and claim inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring total satisfaction. Hourly Rate: $21.00
Position Responsibilities include:
- Answers incoming telephone calls promptly and in a professional manner, with a pleasant demeanor, while adhering to HIPAA guidelines
- Provides accurate quotation of medical, dental, and vision benefits in accordance with appropriate plan provisions and processed claim information
- Works collaboratively with peers to meet the targeted call center metrics of answering 90 percent of calls live in an average of 30 seconds or fewer, with a quality score of 95 percent or above
- Documents all appropriate and necessary information in our systems to maintain an accurate log of issues, concerns, communications, and actions taken
- Works collaboratively with other divisional colleagues, such as claims examiners, nurses, imaging, and recovery to provide total customer care

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent and experience working with the public or in a customer care field is required
- Candidate must be proficient using Windows applications, be self-motivated, dependable, and detail oriented
- Other requirements include the ability to work under pressure, independently, as well as part of a team
- Must have excellent written and oral communication using proper grammar with clear enunciation as well as the ability to multi-task and possess problem-solving skills
- A working knowledge of healthcare, medical coding and terminology is preferred
- Previous claims payment and PPO experience is a plus, as is a college degree.
- Spanish speaking is a plus.
