Description
Christian Brothers Services is a nonprofit organization that administers cooperative programs in the areas of health, retirement, property/casualty, technology, school management and consulting services to church organizations.
Our Risk Management Services Division has internship positions available.
Duties:
- Introduction to key areas in the Risk Management Services Division, such as underwriting, risk control, member services, etc.
- Work with and develop a focused risk management assessment/survey specific to coverage or an area of risk control activity (such as do you have a safety committee) that members can be called. The information can be tallied into a spreadsheet and rolled up into a report to provide focus as to where to focus risk control efforts.
- Assist the Member Services team on Origami project
- Document processes
- Review past accounts with the Underwriting Team and update Salesforce as necessary
- Sit in on Account Management calls
- Work with Risk Control Team on virtual visits and assist with preparation
- Phone work can be done to follow up on questionnaires needed for underwriting and renewal such as WC or follow up on vacant property or pools
- Call on schools and try to sell Student Accident Plan or encourage getting a quote for Cyber Liability
- Call members to help walk them through our website and risk control resources.
- Call/email members to create interest in use of our online training platform/MVR systems and direct them to register for their use
- Call and work with members on Cybersecurity and use of our toolkit and online training platform
- Analyze the division and work to see how our services can be marketed better to existing members and nonmembers
- Call HR departments at our members and promote Risk Control, use online training platform specific to employment liability exposures (sexual harassment, diversity, sensitivity, etc....) and encourage registration and MVR usage
- Follow up calls on open quotes
Qualifications
- Student applicants must have completed their sophomore year of college prior to the start of the internship (i.e. you must be an incoming college Junior or Senior)
