Job Description:
The Director of the Plough Library provides leadership and management for all aspects of library operations, including planning, collections, personnel, budget, and technology. The Director also plays a major leadership role for the campus community and participates actively in local and statewide organizations and consortia.
Requirements:
- Master's degree from an ALA-accredited program, with a subject master or doctorate, preferred.
- Minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in an academic library.
- Demonstrated organizational and academic leadership abilities.
- Significant experience using and managing information and instructional technologies.
- Experience with one or more library specialties (reference, instruction, cataloging, etc.).
- Ability to use software programs for statistical collection, document production, and presentations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Evidence of professional growth and development.
- Ability to lift material weighing up to 40 pounds.
