Business Office Manager :
The Business Office Manager is responsible for maintaining an open line of communication between the Facility and the Program Support Center (PSC) by performing clerical and financial functions as requested while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulatory and organizational standards.
New Admissions :
- Initiate contact with residents and responsible parties on admission day to obtain copies of insurance cards; contacts family to obtain if copies are not in admission packets
- Explain and provide on-going updates on insurance coverage information and billing process
- Obtain insurance authorization, verification, and precertification.
- Add Funding Coverages
- Enter all Outpatient therapy demographics and insurance information
- Verify part B insurance payors for the Therapy department

Qualifications :
Required Education : High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Preferred Education : Associate or bachelors degree in business administration or accounting
Required Experience : 1 year experience working in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), in addition to administrative / clerical / accounting
Preferred Experience : 2 years experience in billing or accounting in health care; insurance transactions and Medicare / Medicaid reimbursement systems
