- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.
- Organize and oversee the schedules and work of maintenance staff.
- Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include apartment turnovers, plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed, in accordance with established procedures.
- Assess building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules.
- Maintain general plant and facility in good repair, ensuring a safe, clean and orderly environment.
- Develop maintenance procedures and schedules.
- Ensure maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Assist with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.
- Will be responsible for covering shifts and emergency on-call weekends/holidays as needed.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a maintenance supervisor required with experience in commercial and/or residential property.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Ability to acquire a fingerprint clearance card from the State of AZ within the first month of employment.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Must be able to work well alone or in a team environment.
- Must be available to work varying shifts as needed.
- Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant action and to remain calm during emergency situations.
- Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, visitors, and the general public.
- Must be a team player.
