Job Purpose
The Missions Mobilization Leader will be primarily responsible for overseeing and managing a program to mobilize the members of McLean Bible Church (MBC) to serve overseas on short-term, mid-term, and long-term opportunities. This person will work in conjunction with The Institute at MBC to oversee a sending process for qualified missionary candidates. This person will also oversee the ongoing care of current MBC missionaries.

The Missions Mobilization Leader will be primarily responsible for overseeing and managing a program to mobilize the members of McLean Bible Church (MBC) to serve overseas on short-term, mid-term, and long-term opportunities. This person will work in conjunction with The Institute at MBC to oversee a sending process for qualified missionary candidates. This person will also oversee the ongoing care of current MBC missionaries.
Responsibilities
- Live an exemplary Christian life through godly character, regular Scripture reading, prayer, service, evangelism, and faithful church membership.
- Understand and represent the doctrine and mission of MBC at large and the missiological values of Global Outreach.
- Assist the Director of Global Outreach in developing mission strategy to mobilize MBC members for global opportunities.
- Shepherd potential missionary candidates through a process of evaluation, development, affirmation, and sending.
- Oversee the ongoing care of current missionaries including visiting their overseas location as necessary.
- Oversee and coordinate short-term trips in conjunction with global partners.
- Assist with training opportunities as assigned by the Director of Global Outreach.
- Assist with recruiting and training volunteers.
- Assist with managing global partner relations.
- Promote Global Outreach activities and events to church at large.
- Commitment to faithful church membership
- Bachelor’s degree
- A Master of Divinity or Master of Arts in Biblical or Theological studies from an accredited seminary or school of theology is preferred
- Two years of church ministry experience is required
- Two years of overseas missionary experience is preferred
- Ability to plan, execute, and complete projects
- Ability to communicate effectively through speaking and writing
- Ability to solve problems, handle constructive feedback, and contribute to a team environment
- Potential for ordination or licensure eligibility, if qualified
- This position requires flexibility in hours including evenings and weekends.
- This position operates in a professional office environment and requires the use of standard office equipment.
- This position requires 25–50% of activities outside the office including overseas travel.
