Job Description
Light of the World is a growing, conservative, Bible based ministry and is looking for a worship leader with experience leading in a mid to large sized congregation.
Duties Include
- Lead band and praise team for each of our three identical Sunday morning services as well as a weekly rehearsal.
- Be comfortable leading in the style of Christian modern/contemporary music.
- Be familiar with technology and media associated with modern Bible based worship.
- Be comfortable working both independently and at times closely with others, especially with the technical, sound and lighting director.
- Develop and utilize volunteers for the praise and band team.
- Demonstrate strong gifts in vocal ability, speaking before and after songs, managing volunteers and administration.
- Must be a strong follower of Christ and supportive of the whole ministry of the church that is rooted in the Word of God rather than watered down by current culture.
- The church averages a weekly attendance in the low 400's and the position of worship leader is not full time by itself. The position can be part time, or if the desire to work is full time the candidate must be willing to perform additional duties in at least one of the following other ministry areas: Outreach, Discipleship, Media and Technology, Men's Ministry, Assymilation, Fellowship, or small group/life group ministry. (Full Time includes fully paid individual health insurance and Retirement and Disability.)
