Position Summary
The Worship Pastor/Media Director is responsible for cultivating the music and technology for our church’s services and overseeing the music and media teams. This person will be a skilled vocalist who can lead from an instrument (preferably guitar or piano) and who exhibits a godly lifestyle as described in 2 Timothy 2:22. This person will also be skilled in the implementation, repair, and maintenance of audiovisual equipment and systems.

Position Summary
The Worship Pastor/Media Director is responsible for cultivating the music and technology for our church’s services and overseeing the music and media teams. This person will be a skilled vocalist who can lead from an instrument (preferably guitar or piano) and who exhibits a godly lifestyle as described in 2 Timothy 2:22. This person will also be skilled in the implementation, repair, and maintenance of audiovisual equipment and systems.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepare biblical, relational, and intentional songs and arrangements that extend the Gospel message for corporate worship events and gatherings.
- Be mindful of serving the different generations that are present in corporate worship
- Be passionate and intentional about liturgy and the order of services
- Incorporate hymns and a variety of more modern songs (we sing songs by Getty Music, Bethel Music, Elevation, Hillsong, CityAlight, Shane & Shane, Norton Hall Band, etc.)
- Implement, repair, and maintain all audiovisual equipment used for the corporate worship services, including sound, lighting, Livestream, and presentation/projection equipment
- Organize, take inventory, and be responsible for all stage and backstage equipment maintenance
- Shepherd and cover the members of the music and media teams musically and spiritually
- Train, develop, and schedule volunteers for workshops, rehearsals, and services
- Lead prayer, discipleship moments, and other opportunities to foster health in our relationships with God and with each other
- Attend and participate in weekly scheduled staff meetings (or leadership meetings)
- Regularly and efficiently use applications such as Planning Center Online, ProPresenter, SongSelect, and others to help make serving at our church easier and stable for our staff and volunteers
- Assist with weddings, funerals and other special events as needed. (media, sound board, stage setup, etc.)
- Research, plan and prepare for future improvement projects and goals
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Preferred 5-10 years of experience working in a related field of ministry
- Preferred 2-5 years of experience of working in a technical, audiovisual field
- Preferred that the worship leader would be proficient with reading chord charts (sheet music is a plus) and transposing music for musicians
- Highly skilled on one or multiple instruments; highly skilled vocally
- Skilled with organization and planning events and service order for corporate worship
- Experienced and called minister who leads with a heart of love
- Aligned with upholding and supporting the missions, vision, and strategy of our church
- Aligned with doctrine, Statement of Faith and the beliefs of our church
- Submissive, teachable, and humble (Romans 12:12); not combative or belligerent in behavior
- An example of a disciple of Jesus Christ and of “servant leadership” inside and outside of our church
- Grow in spiritual life through Bible study, prayer and faithful obedience.
