Midway Community Church is a Christ-centered, medium-sized Baptist church located in Alpharetta, GA. MCC's bold mission is to Glorify God by Helping People Follow Jesus – locally, nationally, and around the world. The church is searching for an Associate Pastor for the Kidsway children's programs and ministry to families. Kidsway is from birth through 5th grade ministry. All regular activities are on Sundays and Wednesday nights: Sunday School, a Kidsway worship service, on Sunday night for Adventure Club, plus mid-week activities.

Lead and Account for All Aspects of Kidsway Children’s Ministry:
Oversee all Kidsway weekly and special events, including organizing, marketing, and execution including special Events: Vacation Bible School, Christmas Program (w/Worship Pastor)
Recruit, train, and bring excitement to Kidsway volunteers
Honor the Lord in Kidsway execution, curriculum, and budgeting stewardship
Continually improve Kidsway ministry, innovating as needed
Understand the times, pressures, and biblical worldview issues facing kids and their parents
Encourage, educate, and embolden parents to train up their kids in the Lord
Ultimately, help kids (and parents) understand the Gospel and grow spiritually
Serve as the primary teacher for children during Kidsway activities on Sundays and Wednesdays
Visit homes of children’s families to encourage in discipleship and prayer
Assist with Family Discipleship:
Encourage Kidsway parents to engage with Sunday School and other church ministries
Assist with adult Sunday School planning, training, events, and leadership development
Come alongside the Senior Pastor in counseling our families
Work closely with the Youth Pastor to ensure a unified approach across all age groups in ministry.
Other responsibilities:
Attend weekly staff meetings and monthly deacon/elder/staff meeting
Assist with other church activities as needed, including hospital and home visits time permitting
Coordinate with the Property and Facilities Team to oversee maintenance and repairs
Other responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Pastor
Be an active member of Midway Community Church!
Qualifications:
Training: A bachelor's degree is required, preferably from a Bible college or seminary
At least 4 years of children’s ministry experience
Personal and Spiritual Development:
Love for God’s Word as sufficient, with a consistent hermeneutical approach to the Scriptures
Growth in Christ demonstrated by fulfilling the deacon qualifications found in 1st Timothy 3
Spiritually and professionally accountable to the Midway Elders
Agree with Baptist Faith and Message, the Midway Constitution, Young Earth creation, complementarian view of gender roles within the church
Creative; can execute with limited direction; excellent communication skills
Job Specifications/Benefits:
