Partial Job Description:
This is a full-time, salaried Pastoral Staff Position
Faith Christian Church is a non-denominational church that seeks a creative, organized, and visionary Children’s and Youth Pastor. This position will oversee all areas of ministry related to children 0-12th Grade. This position is committed to the long-term development of the children and youth programming. The Youth and Children’s Pastor will reach, mentor, and disciple children and youth and invest in young families when possible. As a pastoral position, this role will also include various pastoral-related activities or responsibilities. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in the area of ministry from a Christian College or University. This is a Pastoral Staff Position that requires the individual to demonstrate a testimony and life that honors God and the testimony of Faith Christian Church to the community.
Qualifications

- A passion for Children, Youth, and Families
- Bachelor's degree in Christian Education, Theology, or a related field
- Previous experience leading children's ministry or similar programs.
- A willingness for ongoing training and mentorship
- Good time management skills
Pastoral Role and Responsibilities
- This role holds the authority of a fully elected pastor and serves at the pleasure of the Sr. Pastor
- Promote peace and unity within the church.
- Assist the pastor in carrying out the ministries of the church.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Vision:
- Develop and implement a clear vision and strategy for Children’s and Youth ministries that aligns with the mission and values of the church.
- Ability to make sound, critical decisions under pressure

- Communicate clearly both verbal and written.

- Program Development:
- Oversee the planning and execution of weekly Children’s and Youth gatherings, special events, retreats, and outreach initiatives.
- Ensure programming is age-appropriate, Biblically sound, and relevant to daily life.
- Volunteer Recruitment, and Development:
- Recruit, train, and mentor a volunteer team, foster teamwork, spiritual growth, and servant leadership.
- Equip volunteers with resources and training as needed
- Community Engagement:
- Develop community outreach strategies through schools, events, or other opportunities.
- Develop and lead Gospel centric community engagement events creating opportunities for outreach and evangelism.
- Intentional weekly interaction with children and youth, such as one day a week in a public school or with children or youth in the community.
- Organization:
- Manage ministry budgets and supplies.
- Keep children’s spaces and resources clean and orderly.
- Maintain compliance with child protection policies, screen volunteers, and ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all.
- Spiritual Leadership:
- Lead by example through a life of prayer, personal integrity, and commitment to Scripture.
- Serve as a mentor and spiritual guide to children, teens, and their families
