Construction Coordinator - CWE MissionsPosition Summary:
The Construction Coordinator position is vital to the success of CWE's mission. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and oversee volunteers involved in domestic and international construction projects. Effective communication and collaboration with CWE staff, board members, committee members, volunteers, churches, missionaries, national pastors, and mission boards are crucial. Building strong relationships is essential for fulfilling the mission. Each year, CWE constructs two international and two domestic buildings. Each project is completed in three to four weeks, and we facilitate three to four one-week mission teams who serve to complete each project. As well as two one-week international medical mission trips.Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
· Project Planning and Budgeting: Develop clear and detailed project requirements alongside comprehensive cost estimates to ensure projects are well-prepared and resourced effectively.
· Procurement Coordination: Lead the timely procurement of quality building supplies, materials, and equipment, ensuring that all necessary resources are on-site when needed.
· Documentation Management: Create and maintain organized project documentation, including detailed plans, reports, and expense tracking to uphold project integrity and accountability.
· On-Site Participation: Engage actively in domestic and international construction projects through site surveys and buyout trips, providing expertise and support throughout each phase.
· Communication Management: Act as a key communication conduit for all construction-related matters, ensuring that information flows smoothly among the CWE office, building committee, architects, and missionaries.
· Tool and Equipment Organization: Implement effective management practices for CWE’s tools and containers, ensuring that all resources are maintained and accessible for project use.
· Event Support: Collaborate with the Executive Director and Florida golf committee to assist in the organization of the annual Florida golf classic, playing a vital role in fundraising and community engagement efforts.
· Additional Responsibilities: Additional responsibilities “as needed” in supporting CWE’s mission.
Essential Skills:
· Communication Proficiency: Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Blueprint Interpretation: Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret building plans.
· Construction Management Experience: Have a solid background in construction management practices to enhance project efficiency and quality.
· Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, Drafting and/or AutoCAD preferred.
· Multi-tasking Ability: Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while managing various responsibilities simultaneously.
· Organizational Skills: Apply strong organizational skills to ensure all aspects of project management are addressed thoroughly.
Travel Expectations:· Participate in (4) one-week construction trips each year.
· Engage in (4) 2–3-day buyout trips each year.
· Conduct (2) 2–3-day site visits each year.
· Attend off-site CWE events as requested, contributing to public relations initiatives, participating in golf fundraisers, engaging in mission conferences, and visiting churches to promote the mission of CWE.
