Ministry Purpose: The Executive Director has the overall administrative, operational, and public relations responsibility of New Hope Family Services under the leadership of the Board of Directors. In accordance with 1 Peter 4:8-11, the Executive Director provides focus, direction, administration, and evaluation of the operation of the agency in all areas of operation, including programming, fundraising, and public relations; provides leadership and supervision to the staff, implements the policies, vision, and goals established by the Board of Directors; works with and supports the Board of Directors in planning for the future of the organization. The Executive Director should seek to be a role model in attitude, speech, and actions in the consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ. One should be prepared to explain New Hope’s religious beliefs and practices to all visitors and callers and should be prepared to provide resources and assistance, consistent with New Hope’s Statement of Faith and Mission Statement, to all those who inquire.
Primary Responsibilities:
STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP:
· Take the lead in cultivating an integrated vision at all levels.
· Provide vision for initiating and executing short-and long-term strategic objectives.
· Oversee the leadership team in the development, implementation, and execution of client and donor marketing strategies.
· Assist the Board of Directors in strategic planning, developing objectives and goals, annual planning (including budgeting and program development), and in policy development.
· Implement goals, objectives, policies, annual plans set by the Board of Directors and incorporate it into the daily operations of the organization.
· Carry out the agency’s Mission Statement, Policies and Procedures, etc., and follow all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
· Under the direction of the governing Board of Directors, oversee all daily operations of the agency. Establish and maintain agency organizational structure and management system which assures efficiency, accountability, and appropriate delegation of tasks.
· Assist in board recruitment and development.
· Establish and maintain an agency evaluation system that continuously assesses the programs and services of the organization. Provide recommendations for improvement in services, delivery, and management to the Board of Directors.
· Manage human resources, including hiring, training, evaluating, and terminating according to Employee Manual.
· Provide spiritual leadership to the staff and volunteers to ensure the godly mission of the organization, including leading corporate prayer and devotions.
DEVELOPMENT/FUNDRAISING:
· Oversee the fundraising/marketing team in support of all operations of New Hope Family Services, including a plan for expanding the organization’s donor base.
· Oversee the planning and execution of all major fundraising events.
· Grow major gift donor relationships.
· Oversee fundraising planning and implementation, including identifying resource requirements, researching funding sources, establishing strategies to approach donors, developing yearly fundraising calendar, submitting proposals, and administrating records and documentation.
· Research, write, submit, and track grant proposals, ensuring that each proposal satisfies the specifications requested by the sponsoring foundation or organization.
COMMUNITY/PUBLIC RELATIONS:
· Be the public face and voice of New Hope Family Services.
· Oversee the planning of and promoting awareness of New Hope Family Services through marketing campaigns and relationships with churches and community partners.
· Educate the local community, including churches, pastors, community groups, as well as the professional community about New Hope with the goal of obtaining support and involvement with the ministry.
· Work cooperatively and effectively as a key ambassador for the organization. Cultivate effective relationships with community, church, business leaders, public officials, potential donors, other pregnancy centers, and other relevant pro-life organizations.
ADMINISTRATION:
· Convene regular, engaging, and productive staff, leadership, and one-on-one meetings to address needs, reach goals, solve problems, and refine strategies.
· Develop an annual budget in collaboration with the leadership team for Board approval, oversee expenditures, and ensure accurate financial records.
· Oversee the compilation of statistical reports, accurate client and donor records, and monthly/quarterly reporting to the board.
· Ensure that the medical clinic provides high-quality, appropriate services according to medical standards of care.
· Oversee adoption program and ensure that all aspects of the program are carried out in compliance with NYS OCFS regulations.
· Oversee pregnancy center and mobile medical unit and ensure compliance with all appropriate polices and regulations.
· Conduct written and oral evaluations of staff on a yearly basis.
· Work cooperatively (with a servant’s heart) with other staff, contributing in word and action to an office work environment/atmosphere supportive of New Hope’s Christian pro-life mission, vision, core beliefs, and values.
Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in business or nonprofit administration, human resource management, or related field.
· Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, discipleship, encouragement, and direction for staff and volunteers.
· Strong relationship building within the community and public speaking ability.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills to relate to all constituencies including volunteers, staff members, clients, donors, and community agencies.
· Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans and goals for the center.
· Possesses and demonstrates good judgment and integrity.
