About The Role:
Grace Church Camby is seeking a full-time Worship Director/Worship Pastor who is passionate about Jesus and Jesus' Church and cultivating an atmosphere of worship through leadership that models heartfelt worship in a way that draws others in, encourages participation, and fosters spiritual growth as well as community. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a heart for mentoring others in the faith journey. The Worship Leader is primarily responsible for developing and overseeing the music and audio/visual ministries of Grace Church.
Candidate Expectations:
- A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a vital, growing personal relationship with Jesus.
- Commitment to the mission, vision, and worship philosophy of Grace Church.
- Alignment with the Missionary Church Denominational Statement of Faith.
- Current licensure as a pastor within the Missionary Church or the willingness to pursue within 12 months of employment.
Job Performance Expectations:
- Leading/facilitating a team of volunteers who will provide music during Sunday morning worship services and at other special events such as Mid-Week Events, Praise & Prayer nights, Christmas Eve services, outreach events, funerals, etc.
- Leading/facilitating a team of volunteers who will run the audio/visual equipment during Sunday morning worship services and at other special events.
- Leading/facilitating all worship services, which includes managing the service order, music, media, live stream, sound, and lighting in collaboration with the Lead Pastor.
- Continually identify, recruit, train, empower, and support music and audio/visual volunteers.
- Utilizing Planning Center for scheduling of Worship Team and Tech Team volunteers.
- Set annual goals for the worship ministry that align with Grace’s mission and vision.
- Overseeing the worship department budget and maintaining/upgrading equipment as necessary.
- ProPresenter Set up - Announcements & PowerPoint entered into ProPresenter for each service.
- Maintaining license for music used, lyrics displayed, and live streaming.
- Make ongoing improvements and innovations within the scope of this role, including - lighting system repair, sound system adjustments, computer updates, and instrument repair/tuning.
- Spend time in the office building relationships with the staff (Attend Weekly Meetings)
- Be a lifelong learner through training, conferences, classes, workshops, and reading
- Effectively problem-solve within the scope of this role.
- Handle confidential matters and material with excellence.
- Other pastoral responsibilities determined by giftedness.
