Job Title: Resident Services Assistant
Christian Community Homes and Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident Services Assistant to join our team at Pine Ridge Assisted Living.
Job Summary:
The Resident Services Assistant will provide non-professional routine nursing care and light housekeeping duties for our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires excellent communication skills, a willingness to work with all team members, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide routine nursing care and light housekeeping duties for residents, adhering to facility and state/federal guidelines.
- Obtain and report pertinent information regarding residents to appropriate personnel.
- Plan and prioritize actions to ensure efficient delivery of resident care.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including changing linens and assisting with laundry.
- Provide assistance with daily hygiene and appearance, including toileting, bathing, grooming, and nail care.
- Implement special care needs, including incontinence cares, special skin care, and use of adaptive equipment.
- Perform restorative care and range of motion as instructed.
- Assist with resident admissions, discharges, and room transfers.
- Sort and pass resident mail.
- Encourage residents to take adequate diet, fluids, and supplements.
- Recognize and report physical distress and spiritual needs to appropriate staff.
- Ensure residents' rights are maintained at all times.
- Report any observed physical or verbal abuse to the supervisor immediately.
- Encourage residents to participate in self-care activities.
- Assist residents with prosthetic application.
- Provide diversional activities to meet resident needs.
- Demonstrate effective and respectful communication with residents, families, and team members.
- Maintain an active working relationship with the nursing team and ancillary departments.
- Promote customer satisfaction and positive interpersonal relationships.
- Participate in giving and receiving report from other shifts.
- Attend scheduled training seminars, meetings, and in-services as appropriate.
- Follow work assignments and/or work schedules as assigned.
- Practice good personal hygiene and facility dress code.
- Assume added duties as assigned by the Director of Assisted Living.
