Job Title: Resident Services Assistant

Christian Community Homes and Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident Services Assistant to join our team at Pine Ridge Assisted Living.

Job Summary:

The Resident Services Assistant will provide non-professional routine nursing care and light housekeeping duties for our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires excellent communication skills, a willingness to work with all team members, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide routine nursing care and light housekeeping duties for residents, adhering to facility and state/federal guidelines.
  2. Obtain and report pertinent information regarding residents to appropriate personnel.
  3. Plan and prioritize actions to ensure efficient delivery of resident care.
  4. Perform light housekeeping tasks, including changing linens and assisting with laundry.
  5. Provide assistance with daily hygiene and appearance, including toileting, bathing, grooming, and nail care.
  6. Implement special care needs, including incontinence cares, special skin care, and use of adaptive equipment.
  7. Perform restorative care and range of motion as instructed.
  8. Assist with resident admissions, discharges, and room transfers.
  9. Sort and pass resident mail.
  10. Encourage residents to take adequate diet, fluids, and supplements.
  11. Recognize and report physical distress and spiritual needs to appropriate staff.
  12. Ensure residents' rights are maintained at all times.
  13. Report any observed physical or verbal abuse to the supervisor immediately.
  14. Encourage residents to participate in self-care activities.
  15. Assist residents with prosthetic application.
  16. Provide diversional activities to meet resident needs.
  17. Demonstrate effective and respectful communication with residents, families, and team members.
  18. Maintain an active working relationship with the nursing team and ancillary departments.
  19. Promote customer satisfaction and positive interpersonal relationships.
  20. Participate in giving and receiving report from other shifts.
  21. Attend scheduled training seminars, meetings, and in-services as appropriate.
  22. Follow work assignments and/or work schedules as assigned.
  23. Practice good personal hygiene and facility dress code.
  24. Assume added duties as assigned by the Director of Assisted Living.
