What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brush Cutter Operator position at Christian County MO?
The Christian County Highway Department is currently accepting applications for a Brush Cutter Operator. The purpose of this position is to perform specific duties as directed within their division and all other work as required. This position will operate heavy tractors in cutting brush along roadsides and rights-of-way. May be required to assist in tree trimming and removal, as well as brush cutting and trimming near bridge structures. Works under the direction of the Highway Foreman.
High School education or G.E.D. and minimum of 2 years of responsible work experience preferred. Possession of a CDL, or ability to acquire within 90 days, is preferred. Spends the majority of the day standing or walking. Occasionally lifts and/or moves objects weighing up to 100 lbs such as tools, equipment, supplies, etc. Must be able to access all levels of a construction site and enter/exit from vehicles.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $21.45 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
