The Young Adult Coach engages older teens and young adults, between the ages of 17 and 22, participating in the Extended Foster Care (EFC) program through DCS. The primary responsibility of the Coach is to provide, in a coach-like way, strengths-based case management and interventions needed to develop life skills, vocational or educational goals, and to facilitate connection to community through consistency and collaboration. This position, in conjunction with other Christian Family Care (CFC) programs, helps to develop and implement youth-driven, strength-based case plans with a therapeutic approach. Coaches will work to become a consistent part of the young persons life as they navigate to become an adult and support the youth as they find independence.

Additional requirements include heavy travel within the greater Phoenix metro area. Travel in Northern & Southern rural areas. Administrative work may be completed at home. Availability after hours on weekends and holidays in the event of a critical incident. Annual validation of drivers license and driving record, proof of current vehicle registration and vehicle insurance. Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and clear Central Registry Background Check. Annual, random drug testing.
