We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time, Receptionist to join the Longview Premier Assisted Living facility. The Receptionist is responsible for answering incoming calls and referring them to the proper person and department. Performs miscellaneous clerical duties as assigned. Assists and directs residents, families and visitors. Demonstrates an understanding of, and embraces, Assisted Living Principles and the mission statement of the Christian Health.
Competencies:
- Assists administrative staff with:
- Typing
- Mailings
- Collation and storage of medical records
- Gives directions/information to visitors, guests, residents, sales representatives, etc.
- Greets visitors and directs them to appropriate locations.
- Demonstrates understanding of Assisted Living Principles including Resident choice, privacy, independence, dignity in all interactions with Resident.
- Assures that work area is clean, well organized and equipment is covered/secured at the end of the workday.
- Separates and distributes mail in a timely manner.
- Answers telephone, determines nature of call and directs callers to appropriate individual or department.
- Receives inquiries and releases information in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Maintains newspaper roster and ensures prompt delivery.
- Forwards census changes to appropriate departments/agencies in conjunction with Community Relations Coordinator.
- Maintains office supply inventory.
- Assist with completion of the census and generates email notices to staff regarding census changes.
- Ensures guest/visitors abide by facility rules and reports unresolved incidents to appropriate supervisor.
- Reports suspicious persons/information to appropriate department head/supervisor.
- Orders flowers for hospitalized residents.
Schedule:
- Week One: Tuesday 4pm - 8pm, Wednesday & Thursday 8am - 4pm.
- Week Two: Tuesday 4pm - 8pm, Thursday & Friday 8am - 4pm.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent required.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrates compliance with the CH ASPIRE Standards of Performance.
Qualifications:
- Receptionist experience preferred.
- Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm as well as the willingness to handle difficult situations.
