The HRIS Specialist is responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This role serves as the technical point of contact for HR systems, ensuring data accuracy, effective system utilization, and the generation of reports and analytics to support organizational decision-making.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain the HRIS, including data entry, system updates, and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for HRIS-related inquiries and support requests.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity through regular audits and system testing.
- Configure the HRIS to meet organizational needs, including workflows, permissions, and customizations.
- Identify opportunities for system improvements and work with vendors or IT to implement updates and enhancements.
- Develop, generate, and analyze HR reports and dashboards, including metrics related to turnover, headcount, compensation, and compliance.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support HR and organizational decision-making.
- Train HR staff and other system users on HRIS functionalities and best practices.
- Create user guides, documentation, and FAQs to support system adoption.
- Ensure HRIS complies with applicable laws and regulations, including data privacy and security requirements.
- Maintain secure access controls to safeguard sensitive employee information.
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT, and other departments to align system functionality with organizational needs.
- Communicate system updates and changes to relevant stakeholders.
- Assist with the selection, implementation, and rollout of new HRIS software or modules.
- Manage project timelines, stakeholder involvement, and system testing during implementation phases.
Desired Skills, Requirements & Core Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2-5 years of experience working with HRIS systems (Dayforce experience is a plus)
- Strong understanding of HR processes, including payroll, benefits, recruiting, and compliance.
- Proficiency in data reporting and analytics, with advanced knowledge of tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)and system security best practices.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Thrives in a fast-paced work environment and has the ability to learn new skills quickly
