Job Summary:
The Residential Electrical Service Manager will oversee the daily operations of our residential electrical service department. This role involves managing a team of skilled electricians, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, maintaining high customer satisfaction, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a team of electricians and support staff.
- Project Oversight: Plan, coordinate, and supervise residential electrical service jobs from start to finish.
- Customer Service: Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Scheduling and Dispatching: Efficiently schedule electricians and resources for service calls and projects.
- Budget Management: Monitor expenses, manage departmental budgets, and control costs.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure all team members adhere to OSHA and other regulatory standards.
- Reporting: Prepare and present performance reports to senior management, including metrics on productivity, customer satisfaction, and financial results.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Service Manager, Supervisor, or similar role in the residential electrical industry.
- Licensed Master or Journeyman Electrician (preferred but not required).
- Strong understanding of residential electrical systems, codes, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
