As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in empowering an adolescent with disabilities by providing essential life skills coaching and support. This position is crucial in helping our consumers maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.
Our dedicated staff provide this personalized support both in the comfort of our consumers’ homes and within their communities, so all employees must have a valid driver’s license and an insured vehicle.
Part-Time Position Available- applicants must be able to work Mondays & Thursdays from 4:00pm - 7:00pm & every other Saturday from 12:00pm - 5:00pm.
Responsibilities:
- Assist individual with daily living activities to promote independence.
- Provide one-on-one coaching in life skills tailored to each consumer's needs.
- Monitor/document consumer progress & any changes in behavior or health status.
- Advocate for consumer rights & ensure they are treated with dignity and respect.
- Collaborate with community mental health agencies to coordinate services effectively.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills & knowledge relevant to the role.
