Job Description

Position Summary

Join our culinary adventure as a Kitchen Sidekick! You'll be the Cook's trusty companion, whipping up delicious dishes and spreading joy through food. Get ready to dive into a world of flavors, master the art of food prep, and occasionally moonlight as a meal-serving superhero. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to keep our kitchen sparkling clean and our taste buds dancing!

Your Exciting Culinary Quest

• Team up with our Cook to create culinary magic on the meal line and grill station!
• Transform into a dining room dynamo, assisting our wait staff when duty calls.
• Become the Snack Master, preparing and distributing mouthwatering treats that'll make everyone's day.
• Channel your inner Tetris champion as you help receive and store deliveries with precision.
• Join our clean-up crew and make our kitchen shine brighter than a freshly polished spoon!
• Play "Salad Bar Jenga" as you maintain proper rotation of items from the salad bar and refrigerators.
• Embrace your inner labeling artist, ensuring all items are tagged and dated with flair.
• Become a recipe rockstar by following standardized recipes to culinary perfection.
• Be ready for surprise challenges – other fun duties may pop up when you least expect them!

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills
• At least three months experience in quantity food preparation in a health care facility or hospitability industry preferred.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

• Moderate physical activity required by handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.
• Stands, bends and moves continuously during working hours.
• May be exposed to hazardous chemicals.
• Is subject to frequent interruptions.
• May interact with residents, family members, and visitors.
