We're seeking a detail-oriented Registered Nurse to join our team, where you'll play a vital role in assessing residents, developing care plans, and ensuring seamless compliance with Medicare and Medicaid guidelines.
About the Role
As our MDS Coordinator, you'll be responsible for gathering and assessing resident data to create personalized care plans. You'll work closely with the care team to ensure each resident receives the support they need, staying ahead of the game by keeping up with MDS regulations and best practices. Your expertise will also help train and support staff, while being part of our quality assurance efforts, always looking for ways to improve. Additionally, you'll support residents and families by maintaining clear and professional communication, working with the billing team to align assessments with reimbursement requirements, and mentoring new team members through the process.
Required Skills and Qualifications
We're looking for an organized and experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for delivering top-quality care. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, along with minimum 2-3 years of experience as an RN in long-term care or skilled nursing communities. Proven experience with MDS assessments and care planning is essential, as well as in-depth knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations. Proficiency in electronic health record systems and MDS software is also required, along with a thorough understanding of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
