We are seeking a Per Diem Waste Management Technician responsible for ensuring proper waste and dirty linen removal to keep our residents healthy and prospering. Holland Home is dedicated to maintaining a comfortable, clean, safe, and healthy environment for our clients and staff. We are looking for an individual who is diligent and detail-oriented.

• Holland Home, located in Grand Rapids, is one of Michigan’s largest non-profit providers of senior living services.
• We offer the full continuum of care on 2 beautiful campuses as well as community services through Atrio Home Care, Faith Hospice, Care Resources, Reliance Community Care Partners, and Tandem365!
• We have about 1,500 team members (just at Holland Home) and serve over 5,000 seniors.

General Position Information:

Job Duties:

• Proper handling and disposal of waste, maintaining cleanliness in all areas and adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Collect and dispose of trash and soiled linens in accordance with established procedures.
• Clean and sanitize designated areas.
• Follow safety protocols for handling hazardous materials.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Identify and report any maintenance or safety issues.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age requirement of 18.
• Previous environmental services experience preferred.
• Experience working with older adult populations is also highly valued.
• Experience or Knowledge of Individuals experiencing Dementia.

• Ability to pass a basic physical and the ability to pass a comprehensive background check.

Per Diem Hours:

• Work every other weekend and every other Friday and Monday.
• 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.
• Potential for pick up or additional hours.

• Wages start at $16.40 (Wages can increased based on relevant experience.)
