Job Title: Dispatcher

Job Summary:
Under supervision of the Warehouse Manager, this position provides administrative support for all Donation Center operations to help the Mission expand its development and fundraising efforts in order to meet the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of people to whom it ministers. The position serves as the communication and organizational headquarters for all pickup and intake of donations off campus.

Education/Experience: Must have a valid Alabama driver’s license or valid photo identification card and be insurable by the Christian Mission’s insurance carrier if driving is an essential function of the position. Must be able to pass a background clearance for the purposes of being able to gain access to all Warehouse facilities.
Basic computer skills are required for this position, which include aptitude in the use of the Internet, email, computers, spreadsheets, and databases. Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
SCHEDULING
· Maintain a master calendar of all donation pickup dates, times, and assigned driver
Residential Local Pickup
· Receive incoming phone calls to the Mission for off campus residential donations and coordinate pick up
· Schedule and coordinate with off campus residential point of contact with an available pick up date and time of donation items
· Complete tax deductible receipts for residential point of contact via phone conversation
Out of Area Store Pickup (Salvaged/Recycling Items)
· Schedule and coordinate with 30 different thrift store points of contact, as needed, with an available pick up date and time of donated salvaged clothing for recycling purposes
RECORD KEEPING
· Maintain accurate and up to date weight tickets for salvaged clothing pickups for the purpose of the Mission paying for services
· Maintain Donation Center tax deductible slips for donations made to the Mission
· Keep and maintain up to date Emergency Preparedness Plan and Equipment for Donation Center
· Record and log documentation of denied pickup items with explanation to inform the Executive Director
· Maintain accurate records on outside trucks picking up salvaged bales from the Mission Warehouse to ensure proper charges by the Mission
VEHICLE AND EQUIPMENT
· Keep preventative maintenance records for trucks (i.e. oil changes, tires, etc.)
· Maintain and ensure the required annual inspection records for the Department of Transportation for all trucks
· Maintain accurate mileage records on all trucks
· Maintain accurate and required driver records annually and schedule yearly inspection and urine testing for the Department of Transportation
· Maintain accurate records for Fork Lift daily inspections and proper qualifications for all operators
· Keep and coordinate the release of keys to the Warehouse Tool Room
· Maintain up to date records for the 30 different thrift stores making salvaged clothing donations including quantity and frequency of donations
CUSTOMER SERVICE
· Serve as general welcoming presence for walk ups and drive ups making donations to the Mission
· Answer phone calls for incoming donation request for the Donation Center
· Submit office supply needs for the Warehouse, as needed, to Bargain Store Manager
· Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or other Mission management.
