Job Title: Pediatric Private Duty Nurse (RN or LPN) – Home and School Shifts
Location: Shirley, NY
Shift Availability: Tuesday and Wednesday 7am – 8pm
About the Opportunity: We are currently hiring a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide home and school care for a joyful and engaging 7-year-old female pediatric patient with medical needs. This is a fulfilling opportunity for nurses who enjoy making a difference through one-on-one care in a supportive, family and school centered environment.
Patient Profile:
- 7yearoldfemale
- Diagnosed with Scoliosis
- Tracheostomy and Gtube dependent
- Ventilator at night
- NonAmbulatory but actively moves around with assistance.
- Attends school and is socially engaged.
- Very alert, expressive, and talkative a true chatterbox who loves interactions
and activity.
Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering skilled nursing care per physician orders and patient care plan.
- Ventilator and tracheotomy monitoring
- Gtube feedings and care.
- Assistance with mobility.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
- Communicating with the family and clinical team as needed.
Payrates: $33 - $43/hour
Qualifications:
- Current New York State RN or LPN Nursing License (required)
- Experience with Tracheotomy, Ventilator (required)
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable
